Hedren is an actress and activist for animal rights, as well as a recognized humanitarian for her efforts and dedication to the women of Vietnam, helping create a multi-billion dollar manicuring industry. She has appeared in over 35 TV projects and more than 45 films, including the starring roles in Alfred Hitchcock's “The Birds” and “Marnie,” Charlie Chaplin's “A Countess from Hong Kong,” and “Roar.” She is the founder of The Shambala Preserve, a wild animal sanctuary located in the desert outside of Los Angeles.
