Scheer is a veteran political journalist. He conducted the famous Playboy interview with Jimmy Carter and went on to interview Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, and other prominent political figures. In the late 1960s, he was Vietnam correspondent and editor of Ramparts magazine. He has been a national correspondent at the Los Angeles Times and host of KCRW’s Left, Right, and Center. The author of ten books, including "They Know Everything About You: How Data Collecting Corporations and Snooping Government Agencies are Destroying Democracy,” Scheer is currently a columnist at Truthdig.com and a professor at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
