Villalon is the managing editor of ZYZZYVA. The former San Francisco Chronicle book editor, and a former National Book
Critics Circle board member, his work has appeared in VQR, Zocalo, NPR.org, The Daily Beast, Los Angeles Times, and other places. He lives in San Francisco with his wife, Mary Ladd, and their son.
