Maness is the principle painting instructor for the University of Texas Department of Theatre and Dance and Scenic Art Supervisor at Texas Performing Arts. Her research is held in the Art Directors Guild core collection at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Maness' career as a scenic artist and practicing studio artist spans more than twenty-five years, with works held in private collections worldwide. Her book is “The Art of the Hollywood Backdrop.”
