Jane Mead
Mead is the author of five collections of poetry and the recipient of a Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship, a Whiting
Writers Award, and a Lannan Foundation Completion Grant. For many years Poet-in-Residence at Wake Forest
University, she has taught as a visiting writer at Colby College, Washington University in St. Louis, and The University of
Iowa. She manages her family's ranch in northern California. Her latest book is “World of Made and Unmade,” a finalist for the 2016 L.A. Times Book Prize in Poetry.
