Cardona is the author of five books, most recently "Life in Suspension,”and the translations "Beyond Elsewhere" as well as "Walt Whitman's Civil War Writings.” She has received numerous awards including a Hemingway Grant, worked as an interpreter for the Canadian Embassy in Paris, and contributed to The London Magazine, Irish Literary Times, Washington Square Review, World Literature Today, Poetry International, Dublin Review of Books, and The Warwick Review.
