Burnet is the Scottish author of "The Disappearance of Adèle Bedeau,” a psychological thriller set in France, and "His Bloody Project,” which tells the story of a brutal triple murder in the Scottish Highlands in 1869. "His Bloody Project" is a finalist for the 2016 L.A. Times Book Prize in Mystery/Thriller, was a 2016 Man Booker finalist, won the Saltire prize for fiction and is due to be translated into more than a dozen languages.
