Doctorow is an author, activist and journalist; co-editor of Boing Boing; author of many books, including the novel "Walkaway,”; "In Real Life,” a graphic novel; "Iinformation Doesn't Want To Be Free,” nonfiction about earning in the internet age; and "Homeland,” a YA novel. He is Activist-in-Residence to the MIT Media Lab, Visiting Professor of Computer Science to Open University, and Special Consultant to the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
