Christopher Phillips
Phillips is Senior Lecturer in the International Relations of the Middle East at Queen Mary, University of London and an Associate Fellow at Chatham House. He has a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics, and previously worked for the Economist Intelligence Unit. He lived for several years in Syria, has written two books focusing on that country, most recently “The Battle for Syria: International Rivalry in the New Middle East,” and regularly appears in British and international media.
