Friedmann is an award-winning science writer who has written on topics ranging from astrophysics to zoology. She is editor of ScienceWriters magazine, published by the National Assn. of Science Writers. Friedmann has been designated a fellow by three professional societies for her “leadership and significant contributions to the public communication of science and technology.” She is currently writing a nonfiction book on the history and science of ink.
