Biespiel is a poet, literary critic, and contributing writer at The Rumpus, American Poetry Review, Politico, New Republic, Slate, Poetry, and The New York Times. He is the author of numerous books, most recently "Charming Gardeners" and "The Book of Men and Women,”chosen for Best Books of the Year by the Poetry Foundation. His books of essays, "A Long High Whistle,” received the Frances Fuller Victor Award.
